The Beauty of Slow
We hear a lot these days about "slow" food, which uses fresh, local ingredients prepared with care by those who give time to the process. The mention of slow food conjures the image of savoring the moment and its gifts. It evokes a sense of being grounded, present, connected, and grateful.
I, too, am an advocate of "slow," especially as it applies to a pace of living. Such a life is less frenetic and jam-packed with activities. It is a contrast to our speeded-up, merry-go-round existence. You know what I'm talking about: The times when you are thinking about the next item on your to-do list before you have finished the task at hand.

There are days when we need to be on the go from sunrise to sundown. It may be the only way to accomplish what we desire or to meet our commitments to others. Such days can be exciting and even exhilarating. Yet a steady diet of doing-doing-doing and racing around may be as injurious to health as a steady diet of fast food. If it becomes constant, this "fast food" life may lead to burnout and a general dissatisfaction with life.
A session with me helps you slow down and settle into a relaxed state. As you relax, your thoughts typically slow down. At times, they may stop altogether as you enter a state of deep stillness and peace.
